T20 World Cup: Except Babar Azam, Pakistan squad to reach Brisbane tomorrow

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman will also reach Brisbane tomorrow

KARACHI: Pakistan's squad except skipper Babar Azam is set to travel to Brisbane tomorrow, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared on Friday. 

After playing T20I tri-series final against New Zealand, Pakistan will go to Brisbane tomorrow for T20 World Cup 2022's warm-up games. 

The team's skipper Babar Azam will go directly to Melbourne right after today's final match. Babar is supposed to attend T20 World Cup's trophy shoot and pre-tournament captain's presser. 

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman will also reach Brisbane tomorrow. The two cricketers attended rehabilitation program in London. Dr. Javed and NCA's bowling coach Umar Rasheed will accompany the cricketers. 

PCB's medical chief, Dr. Najeeb Soomro will join the national squad before first match against India. 

Pakistan and India are scheduled to play their first match in T20 World Cup 2022 on October 23 in Melbourne. Before the main event, green shirts will also play two warm-up games against Afghanistan and England in Brisbane.
