CALIFORNIA: Unbeaten Fernando Martinez defeated the previous champion Jerwin Ancajas in a unanimous decision to successfully defend his IBF super-flyweight world title.

Martinez of Argentina, who had defeated the Filipino in February, furthered his dominance in their rematch in Carson.

According to the judges, Martinez won by scores of 119-109, 118-110, and 118-110.

"This was a validation of the first fight," said Martinez, who is now unbeaten in 15 fights.

"I'm ready for anyone. My record shows I'm a champion," he added.
