KARACHI: Pakistan's vice-captain Shadab Khan, one of the match-winners against New Zealand, hoped that the fans enjoyed the team's intent. 

Taking to Twitter after scoring prominent 34 runs against New Zealand in a tri-series match today, Shadab said players are working hard to get rid of their weaknesses. 

"Hope you enjoyed the intent today. We are working hard on correcting our mistakes and planning ahead for the world cup. Keep supporting Pakistan," he wrote. 

Shadab partnered with Babar Azam for a match-winning partnership of 61 runs off 42 balls against New Zealand.

Promoted at number 4, Shadab stood firm and helped Pakistan beat New Zealand by six wickets. With this win, Pakistan remain at top of the points table. 

Pakistan and New Zealand will meet again on October 11.
