KARACHI: Kylian Mbappe has topped the Forbes' list of the highest-paid footballers, overtaking Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Forbes, Paris Saint-Germain forward Mbappe will make $128 million this year.

Messi, a PSG teammate of Mbappe, is in second place with $120 million, while Ronaldo, a striker for Manchester United, is in third place with $100 million.

It is worth mentioning here that for the first time in nine years, a player other than Messi or Cristiano has topped the list.

Mohamed Salah and Neymar round out the top five.
