KARACHI: Pakistan's fiery pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation due to a knee injury, shared a new picture on social media, and he has something to tell his fans.

Shaheen sustained a knee injury during Pakistan's two-match Test series in Sri Lanka.

The young bowler missed out on the Asia Cup 2022, the ODI series against the Netherlands, and the recently finished home series against England since he wasn't completely fit to join the team. The cricket fans also missed out on some ferocious bowling from him.

Shaheen, though, seemed optimistic about being included in the team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which will start in October.

"Calm before the storm", he wrote with a cricket emoji.

A PCB source told Geosuper.tv that the board received an encouraging report on the recovery of Shaheen and Fakhar, who is also in London for his rehabilitation.

Shaheen's rehabilitation is well underway, and while fans won't be able to witness him play in the tri-nation series that begins tomorrow in New Zealand, he will most likely play in the T20 World Cup once he is fully recovered.

Pakistan will lock horns with India in their T20 World Cup 2022 opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23.
