KARACHI: Former Test cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi believes that the world will follow Pakistan Junior League (PJL).
After joining his team Mardan Warriors as mentor in PJL, Afridi shared his excitement and hopes for the first-of-its-kind event.
"This is a very good initiative taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board," Afridi said. "I wish PJL gets success and then you'll see the world following it," he added.
Afridi suggested his team players and all PJL stars to avail this wonderful opportunity.
"It's a great platform for youngsters to showcase their skills. I have told players to make the most of this opportunity," he shared.
"As far as my role is concerned, it's very simple, to motivate and back these extremely talented youngsters. I have played a lot of cricket but here I will try to develop good communication with these players to help them grow," the former flamboyant all-rounder said.
