LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received an encouraging report on the rehab of pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and batter Fakhar Zaman, sources said on Thursday.

Shaheen and Fakhar, who are part of Pakistan's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, are undergoing their rehabilitation in London.

The bowling coach of the National High Performance Center Umar Rashid is with the national cricketers in London.

It is worth mentioning here that Shaheen sustained a knee injury during Pakistan's two-match Test series in Sri Lanka, while Fakhar got knee pain during the Asia Cup 2022.

The PCB source said that the two players are on track.

Fakhar and Shaheen, along with Rashid, reach Brisbane on October 15 as per schedule.

The left-arm pacer is included in the 15-member squad, while Fakhar is among the three travelling reserves.
