PAK vs ENG: 'Pakistan team have more than one match winner,' says Ramiz Raja

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja asked fans to keep faith in the current national team led by Babar Azam.

Speaking exclusively to Geo.tv, Raja said Pakistan's current squad contains more than one match-winner, hence they need some room for making mistakes. 

"Our team has more than one match-winner. This team needs some time and these players will make you proud," said the PCB boss. 

"I have told players, losing is not an option because fans are attached emotionally to this game. We are making mistakes and will make in the future too. We are not the best team in the world but this team is giving happiness to the fans," added former cricketer.

Raja was impressed with the way the ongoing Pakistan vs England T20I series has become exciting with neck and neck competitions. 

"Who would have thought that this series will go like this. We thought the excitement between seven match will fade away. But, every match went down to the last over," he reiterated. 

"Such a performance by the team is increasing confidence in our fans. Fans are taking ownership of this team which is why they are filling up stadiums," he concluded.
