KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will pay PKR1 million to head coach Saqlain Mushtaq for his knee treatment, The Jang reported on Monday.

According to the report, the former cricketer underwent knee treatment at the expense of PCB. 

Now, further details revealed that the said amount hasn't been released to the coach. But, it got required approvals from PCB's chief medical officer Dr. Najeeb Soomro and chairman Ramiz Raja. 

A senior sports journalist Abdul Majid Bhatti, who reported this news in The Jang, revealed that the PCB approved the said amount because Saqlain picked up the knee injury while training the national players. 

While elaborating on his news, Bhatti said that the approved amount of PKR1 million will be transferred to Saqlain's account anytime soon.
