PAK vs ENG: Aqib Javed questions Iftikhar Ahmed's selection

KARACHI: Former Test cricketer Aqib Javed lambasted team management for middle-order batting selection. 

Speaking on GeoNews.tv, Aqib questioned the selection of Iftikhar Ahmed in the middle-order. 

"What is the role of Iftikhar Ahmed in Pakistan team?" Aqib questioned. "Shoaib Malik is currently the best choice on number four position. Why he is not getting chance?" the cricketer-turned-analyst continued asking. 

Iftikhar has scored 410 runs in 27 T20Is at an average of 27.33. His strike-rate in T20Is so far is 124.24.

Meanwhile, Aqib also raised concerns over Haider Ali's selection. "On what performances, Haider Ali was reselected? He failed to perform in PSL but still, he came in the national squad," he said.
