KARACHI: Pakistan's bowling coach Shaun Tait believes that Haris Rauf has all boxes ticked and his recent improvement is a good sign for the team.

In a press conference here on Saturday, former Australian pacer said he just discussed about consistency with Haris and probably the pacer made his coach satisfied.

"The only thing we've been talking about is consistency. We just talk about how to remain consistent," shared Tait, who missed training session yesterday due to feeling unwell.

"Haris has got pace, aggression so we often just talk about being consistent. Yes, we worked on his death bowling and he showed improvement in T20 Asia Cup as you said," Tait responded.

Haris took eight wickets in six T20 Asia Cup matches. He bowled at an economy of 7.65.

Naseem Shah

Highly impressed by Naseem, Tait said the young pacer reminds him of his early days.

"Naseem is young, energetic and reminds me of my days," said Tait when he was asked about Naseem's performance against India in T20 Asia Cup's first match.

"His ability to bowl with a new ball is excellent," he added.

A quick update on Shaheen

The bowling coach didn't have much information on Shaheen Shah's injury but he was confident for his return.

"I actually don't know about Shaheen much. He is going along well, that's what I heard latest," he concluded.

Pakistan's premium fast bowler Naseem is currently undergoing rehabilitation phase in London. He got his knee injured during Sri Lanka tour in July that pulled him out of remaining international series till the T20 World Cup 2022.

He was named in the squad of T20 World Cup and tri-nation series in New Zealand.
