KARACHI: Where England team is currently in the city to play T20I series, multiple English journalists have also arrived here to witness cricket action which begins on September 20 at National Stadium.

Matt Roller, a young England journalist who is working as assistant editor at the ESPNcricinfo, joined Geo Super in a Twitter space on Saturday.

In a attractive session with cricket fans, Roller shared his experience of being in Karachi for the very first time.

"It's fantastic to be here in Karachi. It's my first time and I am enjoying the trip so far," shared Roller who is recipient of CMJ young cricket journalist of the year 2021.

"I had very short time to explore the city so far. I saw lots of beautiful old buildings, a lot of traffic in this city, very busy place," he told a fan after being asked.

"I am very much excited about cricket action. It will be my first time so yes, I am really looking forward to competitive cricket in Karachi," he continued.

Like Australian journalists, who toured Pakistan earlier this year, Roller, who belongs to a small town near Southampton, also liked the desi food in Karachi.

"We've been in the Pakistani restaurant a couple of nights, so yeah, enjoying different things like Parathas and Paneer,

"We we have a good culture of some South Asian food back home. There's a lot of South Asians in London in particular. So yeah, some familiar dishes and some new ones as well," he shared.

England will stay in Karachi till 25 September when the last T20I of seven-match series in the city is scheduled. After playing in Karachi, England will travel to Lahore to play remaining three T20Is.
