Mohammad Rizwan overtakes Virat Kohli to become top-scorer of Asia Cup 2022

DUBAI: Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan overtook Indian batter Virat Kohli to become the top-scorer of the T20 Asia Cup 2022 during the final against Sri Lanka here at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

Rizwan scored a 48-ball 55 run to gather 281 runs, becoming the highest run getter of the Asian event.

With the feat, the wicket-keeper batter left behind India's Kohli, who amassed 276 runs in 5 innings of the Asian event.

After his 122-run knock against Afghanistan, Kohli also managed to score his first international century after 1024 days during the Asia Cup.

It should be noted here that Rizwan overtook Pakistan skipper Babar Azam to become number one T20I batter in the world last week.
