LAHORE: Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden is excited to join the Pakistan team once again as a batting mentor.
On Friday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the appointment of Hayden for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled for October-November this year.
"I am really excited and can't wait to join you here in Australia for T20 World Cup," Hayden told the Pakistan team.
"I am watching you perform in the Asia Cup, especially that win against India. You have all the things a good side needs to play in Australia," he added.
Hayden was the batting mentor of Pakistan team in T20 World Cup 2021 which was held in Dubai. Pakistani batters performed really well and led their team to become unbeaten in group stage.
