KARACHI: Pakistan's former Test captain Inzamam-ul-Haq clearly said that the Afghanistan team can't progress with their players' arrogant attitude on the field.

Inzamam, who also coached Afghanistan from 2015 to 2016, was unhappy with what happened on the ground during T20 Asia Cup 2022 contest.

"Afghanistan players need to change their attitude otherwise their cricket will never flourish. With this attitude, they will not progress and will continue winning matches in bits and pieces," he said.

"Sportsmen should have a big heart. They should accept defeat as it is part of the game. Such an attitude is unacceptable," he added.

After Pakistan vs Afghanistan game, Afghan fans attacked Pakistani fans inside and out of the ground. The videos of clash went viral on social media with people calling out such behavior.

To a query about poor scenes from the stadium after the match, Inzamam said he was surprised to see the pictures and videos.

"I was surprised to see Afghan people creating unrest. The whole world saw pictures and videos which were really disturbing," he lamented. "We our neighbors. When they lost against Sri Lanka, they didn't do anything. Then why against Pakistan?" he asked.

"I think they have some personal issues with Pakistan," the cricketer opined.
