Asia Cup 2022: 'Our players took sleeping pills after defeat against Pakistan,' reveals Nabi

DUBAI: Afghanistan's captain Mohammad Nabi revealed that their players took sleeping pills after their defeat against Pakistan in T20 Asia Cup 2022's super 4 stage. 

After playing their last match against India in the Asian event, Nabi revealed shocking facts about his players.

"Players were really disturbed after our defeat against Pakistan. Some of the players even took sleeping pills," the captain disclosed. 

Meanwhile, Nabi was satisfied with his team's overall performance in the tournament. "Our overall performance was good in the tournament. We gave tough time to top teams and our players gained good momentum ahead of T20 World Cup," he said. 

Afghanistan lost to Pakistan by one-wicket in the last over thriller. Naseem Shah struck two match-winning sixes to shatter the hopes of Afghanistan.
