KARACHI: After nearly a year away from the ring, Jake Paul will resume his conflict with the MMA community on October 29 when he takes on former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Since his brutal knockout victory over former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in December of last year, the YouTuber-turned-boxer hasn't competed; instead, he's spent the first part of 2022 promoting Amanda Serrano's bout with Katie Taylor.

Both of his scheduled fights on August 6 at Madison Square Garden—against Hasim Rahman Jr. and Tommy Fury—were canceled.

Instead, he changed his mind and agreed to fight Silva, a great MMA fighter and 3-1 boxer who has made a comeback in the boxing scene since quitting the UFC in 2020.

After a protracted losing streak, he was booted from the top MMA promotion. Since then, he has defeated Tito Ortiz and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the boxing ring.

Although the undercard has not been announced, Ashton Sylve, one of Most Valuable Promotions' starfighters, is almost probably going to be there.
