SHARJAH: In their Super Four match of the T20 Asia Cup 2022 on Wednesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Naseem Shah hit two maximums in the final over to help Pakistan defeat Afghanistan by one wicket.

As Naseem maintained his composure to knock two sixes in the first two balls of the final over, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in a nail-biting match to advance to the Asian tournament final.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan bowler Fareed Ahmed "misbehaved" with Pakistan batter Asif Ali while he was going back to the pavilion after getting out.

According to sources, the two players were summoned by match referee after the match.

The incident sparked criticism as people condemned it on Twitter.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan and Sri Lanka have qualified for the final of the Asia Cup 2022, while India and Afghanistan have been knocked out of the Asian event.

Pakistan will next clash with Sri Lanka in their third and last clash of the Super Four on Friday.
