TOWNSVILLE: Fast bowler Mitchell Starc created history during Australia's third ODI match against Zimbabwe at the Riverway Stadium.

Starc completed 200 wickets in one-day internationals after dismissing Ryan Burl in the 37th over of Zimbabwe's innings.

As a result of his accomplishment, Starc broke Pakistan spin great Saqlain Mushtaq's record for the fastest bowler to 200 ODI wickets.

He outperformed renowned Saqlain, who took 104 matches to take 200 scalps, while the left-arm Aussie pacer needed 102 games to achieve the massive milestone.

It should be mentioned here that former pacer Brett Lee was previously the fastest Australian to take 200 wickets, as he managed to reach the feat in 112 matches.
