KARACHI: 2022 saw plenty of success for Cody Rhodes in AEW and WWE, but 2023 might be even more successful for "The American Nightmare."

Even though Rhodes is presently sidelined indefinitely following surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, WWE reportedly already has "a lot of things" in place for Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 next year, according to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast.

Since WrestleMania 39 just set a new record for the company's highest first-day ticket sales, WWE won't have any trouble filling SoFi Stadium.

The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, probably the biggest bout WWE could book right now, may very well occur at pro wrestling's biggest yearly pay-per-view, but if The Rock is unable to compete, Rhodes would be able to take over as the show's main attraction on either night with ease.

Rhodes has acknowledged that WWE's medical staff isn't giving him a specific comeback date because they believe he will speed up his recovery process to beat any anticipated return date.

Rhodes is anticipated to be sidelined until early 2023 and he would appear to be aiming for the 2023 Royal Rumble based on the timing of his injury and WWE's propensity for large Royal Rumble returns.
