LONDON: Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and Tottenham Hotspurs manager Antonio Conte were shown red cards as they involved in a furious altercation at full-time at Stamford Bridge.

The two had been at odds the entire second half, but shortly after the final whistle Harry Kane's dramatic equaliser for the visitors brought the fight to a head.

When it appeared that Tuchel would not release Conte's hand after the Spurs manager refused to look his opposite number in the eye, the two managers exploded, putting an end to what had appeared to be a rather calm situation.

When Tottenham initially tied the score at 1-1 after Pierre-Emile Hjbjerg cancelled out Kalidou Koulibaly's opening goal, Conte irritated Tuchel with his jubilant celebrations. This led to an altercation between the two earlier in the game.

Despite Reece James made it 2-1 for Chelsea, Tuchel showed he wasn't a coward, sprinting along the touchline after acknowledging that the game had "sucked me in."
