KARACHI: Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar celebrated his 47th birthday today in Australia.
Akhtar, earlier this week, underwent knee surgery in a local hospital in Australia. The former cricketer is currently healing from the surgery and spending time with his good friend and an Australia-based Pakistani cricket organizer Kamil Khan.
Khan organized a short birthday celebration party for the legendary cricketer at his home. They cut a birthday cake themed on green color and a red cricket ball.
"A fighter never quits, on the road to recovery and here's a special cake to mark the occasion of you getting a year younger. Happy birthday," Khan wrote on Twitter while sharing a picture with Akhtar.
It is pertinent to mention here that Akhtar represented Pakistan in 224 international matches and claimed 444 wickets.
