Pakistan to participate in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh

Sultan Azlan Shah Cup is returning after a gap of two years due to COVID-19

KARACHI: Pakistan hockey team will be participating in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, scheduled to take place in Ipoh from November 16 to 25.

According to the details, apart from Pakistan, national teams of Malaysia, South Korea, South Africa, Canada, and Japan will participate in the event. The event has also invited world number one Australia, Germany, India, and New Zealand.

After a two-year absence owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is returning.

The most recent Azlan Shah tournament took place in 2019 when South Korea defeated India to win it all for the third time.

Earlier, the Pakistan hockey team took part in Commonwealth Games 2022 but couldn't play well. The national team finished seventh in Men's Hockey in the event.
