Pakistan's Gold medalist Arshad Nadeem thanked his mentor

KARACHI: Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022 and Islamic Solidarity Games 2022's gold medalist Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem thanked his mentor and President of Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP), Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi. 

Taking to Twitter after winning two Gold medals within six days, Arshad shared a picture with his mentor. 

"Thank you to Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi President Athletics Federation of Pakistan for all your support and efforts throughout my career," he wrote. 

Arshad made Pakistan proud by winning first-ever Gold medal in Javelin Throw event of the CWG 2022. His record-breaking performance was one of the highlights of Pakistan's participation in the multi-sports event. Khanewal-born Arshad threw at 90.18m to become the second Asian to cross 90m+ mark.
