DUBAI: Two-time World Cup-winning Australian captain Ricky Ponting thinks that India will win against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
Speaking on ICC's digital show, Ponting weighed the Indian squad against Pakistan despite the fact that the Green Shirts beat India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup contest at Dubai International Stadium. The same venue will host the arch-rivals again in Asia Cup 2022 contest on August 28.
"I'll stick with India to win that clash against Pakistan," Ponting predicted.
"That's taking nothing away from Pakistan because they are an incredible cricket nation that continue to present out-and-out superstar players," the former Australian captain clarified.
While Pakistan hold the edge overall in head-to-head meetings, it's a different story at the Asia Cup with India currently clinging to a slender 7-5 advantage (one no result) from 13 matches. - These facts have been taken from ICC's official website
