Pakistan ruled out from position matches due to poor performance in Indoor Women's Asia Cup

KARACHI: Pakistan team's dismal performance forced them out of position matches in Indoor Women's Asia Cup which is currently underway in Thailand. 

The national women's team, who was playing their first-ever indoor hockey tournament, was handed last position in nine-team event. 

Pakistan team lost all four matches in the tournament. The Girls in Green conceded 45 goals and scored just a goal. Due to conceding so many goals, Pakistan wasn't given 5th-7th position matches. 

The national team's head coach Rahat Khan told this correspondent that his team conceded so many goals, hence they weren't given a chance of playing in position matches. 

Pakistan team will return to the country on August 16.
