KARACHI: Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois have been nominated for the Men's UEFA Player of the Year award.

On August 25, the winner will be declared.

Courtois and Benzema won the Champions League, and the French striker was named 2021–22 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.

In the Champions League final, Courtois was named Player of the Match.

Meanwhile, De Bruyne, a midfielder, was named the 2021–22 Premier League Player of the Season.

The shortlist for the men's Manager of the Year award was also announced by UEFA, and it included Carlo Ancelotti of Real, Pep Guardiola of City, and Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool.

The nominees for women's manager of the year and player of the year will be announced later.

At the Champions League group-stage draw ceremony in Istanbul, all of the winners will be declared.
