Namibian players reach Lahore to train at Qalandars High-Performance Center

Lahore Qalandars have agreed to participate in a four-team tournament involving hosts Namibia, India's Bengal and a team from South Africa

LAHORE: Four Namibian players reached here Monday for training under the skilled coaches at the Lahore Qalandars High-Performance Center (HPC). 

Taking to Twitter, Namibian Cricket shared that four cricketers including  Picky YaFrance, Mauritius Ngupita, Nicol Loftie-Eaton, and Shaun Fouche reached Lahore for training at Qalandars' HPC. 

Pakistan Super League (PSL)'s reigning franchise, Qalandars' co-owner Sameen Rana welcomed the cricketers. 

"Most welcome and do enjoy your time in Lahore, Pakistan and Qalandars HPC. Best of Luck," he wrote.

Namibia's David Wiese is one of the star cricketers of Qalandars. Wiese remained an integral part of the Qalandars' family. 

Earlier, Qalandars have agreed to participate in a four-team tournament involving hosts Namibia, India's Bengal and a team from South Africa (name to be announced soon) in Namibia.

The tournament will take place sometime during the upcoming Asia Cup 2022, expected to be played in the UAE from August 27 to September 11.
