Rawalpindi, Multan, Karachi set to host England for Test series in December 2022

England will also play 7 T20Is in Karachi and Lahore before the T20 World Cup 2022

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi as venues for the Test series against England scheduled to be played in December this year.

According to sources, England are due to arrive in Pakistan in December to play three Test matches. Ahead of Test series, England will also play 7 T20Is in Karachi and Lahore in September-October before the T20 World Cup 2022, scheduled in Australia from October 16 to November 13.

"The PCB has finalized Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi as venues for three Test series," the source said.

The PCB, according to the source, has already shared the proposed itinerary of Test series with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and both the board have agreed in principal over the program.

According to proposed itinerary for the three-test series, the series will start from Rawalpindi Test on December 1st followed by 2nd Test in Multan on 9th and 3rd Test in Karachi on 17th December.

The source, however, added that while venues have been agreed the dates of the matches are subject to logistics of the series.

This will be England’s first Test series in Pakistan since it toured the country last in 2005.
