KARACHI: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar underwent successful knee surgery on both knees that lasted eight hours.

Taking to Twitter, the 46-year-old uploaded a video after his surgery went well.
"Even after 11 years of retirement, I have pain in my knees. But even in this condition, it was all worth it playing for Pakistan, and If I had to go through this pain all over again, I would love to do it without any hesitation," he said.
Akhtar thanked the people who sent him well wishes for his health.
It is pertinent to mention here that Akhtar represented Pakistan in 224 international matches and claimed 444 wickets.
