BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan's Fahad Khawaja has been knocked out by an English opponent in the Round of 32 of the Men's Singles table tennis event in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
After a sensational group stage performance, Khawaja clashed with Paul Drink of England, who dominated the Pakistani player and handed him a 4-0 loss on Friday. , beating him by 6-11, 5-11, 3-11, and 4-11.
Earlier, Khawaja beat Guyana's Christopher Franklin, Bangladesh's Mohutasin Ahmed Ridoy, and Derron Douglas of Trinidad and Tobago in the group stage to qualify for the round of 32 of the event.
It should be mentioned here that Khawaja is the top ping pong player of Pakistan and has won three Silver medals in South Asian Games.
