BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan women's team failed to make their presence felt once again as they returned winless from Commonwealth Games 2022 after losing the last contest at the hands of Australia by 44 runs here on Wednesday.
Set to chase 161 runs in the last game, Pakistani batters once again collapsed as their poor form continues.
Tail ender Fatima Sana came to the rescue but her 35 runs weren't enough to get Pakistan over the victory line. Fatima smashed two boundaries and as many maximums after main batters walked back to the pavilion.
Skipper Bismah Maroof and Omaima Sohail scored 23 runs each as Pakistan scored 116-8.
Tahlia McGrath bagged three wickets for Australia.
Earlier, Beth Mooney smashed 70 runs not-out to help Australia post 160-2 in 20 overs. Mooney smacked eight boundaries and a six during her stay at the crease.
For Pakistan, Fatima and Sadia Iqbal shared a wicket apiece.
