Arshad Nadeem directly qualifies for final in Commonwealth Games

KARACHI: Pakistan's Olympian Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem has directly qualified for the final in Commonwealth Games 2022. 

According to the sources, Commonwealth Games' management has waved qualification round due to less entries in the Javelin Throw event. 

The participants have been told to prepare for final event directly on August 7. The start list of the event will be finalized soon. 

India's Neeraj Chopra, who won Silver in World Athletics Championship last month, was ruled out of Commonwealth Games 2022 due to injury. Pakistan's Arshad finished fifth in that event. 

So far, Pakistan's contingent has failed to bag a single medal in the ongoing Commonwealth Games.
