Neymar Jr scores brace as PSG beat Nantes to win Trophee des Champions
Neymar scored two goals, while Leo Messi and Sergio Ramos scored one goal each
TEL AVIV: Neymar scored twice as Paris St. Germain destroyed Nantes 4-0 to claim the Trophee des Champions in newly-appointed coach Christophe Galtier's first game as manager.
Galtier succeeded Mauricio Pochettino after the previous campaign, and the team triumphed easily in Tel Aviv, Israel.
After setting up Lionel Messi's first goal, Neymar curled in a free kick.
Before Neymar was fouled by Jean-Charles Castelletto, who was then dismissed and converted the penalty, Sergio Ramos made it three with a backheel goal, which was highly cheered by the fans at the stadium and on social media.
The Trophees des Winners, has now been won by PSG, the Ligue 1 champions, nine times in the last ten years. Nantes earned a spot in the game by winning the French Cup.
