BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan have faced another setback in the Commonwealth Games 2022 as boxer Nazeer Ullah Khan has been knocked out in the round of 16.

Nazeer Ullah, who was competing in Men's heavyweight category, lost to England's Lewis Williams by 5-0 after unanimous decision.

On the opening day of the mega event, Pakistan's 63.5 kg boxer Suleman Baloch, who is the national and inter-departmental champion, lost his opening bout 5-0 to Indian boxer Shiva Thapa.

It should be noted here that Pakistan's featherweight boxer Ilyas Hussain will clash with Lesotho's Moroke Mokhoto later today.
