LAHORE: Pakistani skipper Babar Azam is confident to continue dominant performance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.

Pakistan team finished unbeaten in group stage of last year's T20 World Cup. The Green Shirts beat arch-rivals India for the first time in a World Cup contest.

"We are very much familiar with UAE conditions. Our record is good there and we will try to play competitive cricket in the upcoming Asia Cup," he said in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Asia Cup 2022 has been shifted from Sri Lanka to UAE due to current political and economic unrest in the Island. The Asian event will take place from August 27 to September 11.

"It is difficult to switch to white-ball cricket immediately. There is a lot of difference between white-ball and red-ball cricket. White-ball cricket is played with more aggression as compared to red-ball cricket," he concluded.

It should be noted here that Babar is currently the most consistent batter across all formats. He holds the number one position in ICC ODI and T20I rankings whereas ranked third in Tests.
