KARACHI: Discarded international cricketer Ramiz Raja Jr accused Waqar Younis of racism and claimed that he used to discriminate between Karachi and Punjab players during his head coach stint in 2011.

Ramiz, who played two T20Is in 2011 before getting dropped from the national team, alleged the then head coach Waqar for rude behavior towards Karachi players.

"During my only international tour with the national team, I faced rude behavior from Waqar Younis," he shared while speaking in a local channel. "He taunted me a lot just because I belongs to Karachi. That tour became horrible for me and I just wanted to go back home," he maintained.

Moreover, Ramiz also claimed that Waqar asked him to learn Punjabi and also didn't allow him to train with Karachi-based fast bowler Sohail Khan.

"He told me to learn Punjabi to survive in the team. They used to speak Punjabi in all team meetings," he disclosed.

"Once I asked him to go for training with Sohail Bhai. He refused and said 'this is not Karachi team'," Ramiz concluded.

Just a couple of days ago, another discarded cricketer Ahmed Shahzad blamed Waqar for ruining his career by presenting 'report based on false facts'.
