Arsenal confirm signing of goalkeeper Matt Turner

LONDON: Arsenal completed the signing of Unites States International goalkeeper Matt Turner from Major League Soccer (MLS) side New England Revolution.

The 28-year-completion old's of the transfer was widely anticipated after the MLS team revealed an agreement with the Arsenal as early as February.

Arsenal has now officially announced the signing of Turner, who joins Marquinhos, a talented Brazilian attacker, and Fabio Vieira, a Portugal Under-21 international, as their summer signings.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said: "Matt is an experienced goalkeeper who will bring high quality to our squad. 

"He has shown with his performances in recent years in both the MLS and at international level with the United States that he is a goalkeeper who will give us added strength going into next season."
