Pakistan's Mueed, Shajjar qualify for finals in World Continental Championship

KARACHI: Mueed Baloch aka Baloch Bolt and his compatriot Shajjar Abbas have qualified for the finals in 400m and 100m categories respectively in World Continental Championship. 

According to the details, Mueed and Shajjar were on song as they made it to the finals by shining in their respective heats that took place today in the morning. 

Shajjar made a new national record, completing 100m in 10.38 seconds. 

While reacting to national athletes' performance, Pakistani pacer Shahnawaz Dahani heaped praise on Twitter. 

"Mueed Baloch and Shajjar Abbas have qualified for finals in 400 & 100 meter at Almaty, Kazakhstan. Finals will be at 7:00 pm tonight. Shajjar Abbas has also made new national record of 10.38s in 100 meter. Proud of you boys and best of luck for finals," he wrote.

It must be noted here that Shajjar bagged Gold in the 200m race last month in Imam Reza Cup whereas Mueed bagged Silver and Bronze medals in the mega event.
