KARACHI: Pakistani hockey players have not yet received their dues for Asia Cup and Europe Tour, sources said Thursday.

Details indicate that more than Rs 2 lakh is owed to each player so far, and central contracts have also been halted for several months.

Additionally, it has come to light that most of the players took out loans to travel abroad for the Asia Cup and Europe Tour.

According to additional reports, athletes are currently very financially and mentally stressed.

"We will talk about the dues of players and other matters tomorrow," the Pakistan Hockey Federation's Secretary (PHF) stated.

It should be noted here that Pakistan, in Asia Cup, lost against Japan, won against Indonesia, and drew against India, which forced Pakistan out of the Hockey World Cup 2023.
