KARACHI: Pakistan's opening batter Shan Masood gave credit to Mohammad Rizwan for helping him develop his game and grow in confidence.

Shan, who played under Rizwan's leadership for Multan Sultan's in the Pakistan Super League 2022, was sensational for his side during the event, and carrying forward his spectacular form, he shined in the County Championship 2022 for Derbyshire.

Speaking to CricWick, the left-handed batter said: "I will give a lot of credit to Mohammad Rizwan as he has helped me develop my game and helped me grow."

"I have learned to be flexible and believe that even I can make a difference at the top of the order no matter what the situation," he maintained.

The 32-year-old, who is leading Derbyshire in the T20 Blast, has scored 366 runs at an average of 45.75 in 10 innings.

The left-hander continued by saying that he benefits from playing with Rizwan in the T20 Blast as well.

"Even when I am playing in T20 blast I always keep remembering what Rizwan used to say and how to tackle things. You need to be flexible and change gears accordingly as one day you are chasing around 150 and you need to score 70 off 55 balls while on some day you will be chasing around 240 and will have to score 100 on 55 deliveries," he concluded.
