LONDON: Three men were arrested on Wednesday for the armed robbery of former world champion boxer Amir Khan and his wife, BBC reported.
The 35-year-old claimed on Twitter in April that two guys snatched his £72,000 watch as a gun was "pointed in my face" on High Road in Leyton.
According to the Metropolitan Police, officers "investigating a gunpoint street robbery in Leyton," made three arrests.
The three individuals, who are 25, 24, and 20, are being detained on robbery allegations.
The police said: "no one was hurt during the incident, and no bullets were fired."
The 20-year-old male was also detained for ammunition possession, while the 25-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm to incite fear of violence.
