KARACHI: Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh refrained from making any comments before Pakistan's clash with arch-rivals India in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled in October-November this year in Australia.
Pakistan and India are set to lock horns in yet another T20 World Cup on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, their back-to-back face-off within a year after Pakistan smashed India with a 10-wicket victory in Dubai last year.
After India's humiliating loss, Harbhajan had to hide his face as Pakistanis trolled him for taking immense pride in his team's strength before the match.
"I told Shoaib Akhtar that there's no catch for Pakistan to play against India; you should give us a walkover. You'll play, you'll lose again, and you'll be upset. Our squad is extremely solid, very powerful, and they will easily beat you," the former off-spinner had said.
While regretting his comments, Harbhajan this time refused to make any prior comments about the high-octane clash in October.
Speaking to an Indian sports website along with former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar, Harbhajan said: "We have another T20 World Cup coming up, and this year, I will not give any statement, neither I will make a prediction," he said.
"Mauka Mauka or whatever, we will wait and see what is going to happen. Last time, things went bad due to this," he added.
