KARACHI: Conor McGregor praised Ricardo Ramos after the Brazilian won with a spectacular spinning elbow KO victory.

On Saturday night, Ramos battled Danny Chavez in the UFC event in Austin, which was headlined by Calvin Kattar's loss to Josh Emmett.

The Brazilian fighter, who is managed by Paradigm Sports with McGregor, was hoping to avenge a decision loss to Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 267 last year.

The 26-year-old wasted no time and flew out of the gate to become the fifth UFC fighter to KO with a spinning elbow.

McGregor expressed his admiration for his stablemate on social media, saying on Instagram: "Paradigm Sports' own! What an incredibly exciting fighter this Brazilian 145lb star is. Incredible excitement towards the UFC world title. My former division. My former belt. Congratulations tonight!"

The UFC featherweight bout got off to a flying start in a dazzling exhibition, with the fight bursting into life just seconds into the three-round affair. Ramos feinted low before launching a devastating spinning elbow that hit flat on Chavez's chin.
