KARACHI: For the first time in history, the United States, Canada, and Mexico will share the spotlight as FIFA World Cup hosts in 2026.

FIFA announced all of the venues on Friday, with some surprises in store. The United States will host the tournament in 11 cities, Mexico in three, and Canada, interestingly, in two.

Mexico's Estadio Azteca will be making history as the only venue to host 3 World Cups. It saw Pele win the title in 1970, while Maradona in 1986.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be kicking off in Qatar on 21 November.
