Foreign trainer, head coach await clearance to join Pakistan hockey camp

LAHORE: Pakistan hockey team's head coach Siegfried Aikman and physical trainer Daniel Berry haven't joined the national team's training camp ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2022-23 due to clearance issues. 

According to sources, Berry and Aikman are waiting for clearance to join the camp which is currently underway in Abbottabad. Most likely, the two important members of the team management will join the camp by next week. 

"Aikman and Berry will reach the camp by next week," team's manager Olympian Khawaja Junaid said. "We are hoping to get the clearance letter for them by next week. Meanwhile, we are in touch with both of them online while training players," he said. 

Pakistan team will participate in Commonwealth Games which are scheduled from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham.
