PAK vs WI 2022: Police launches baton charge at fans outside stadium

'We found a lot of fake and duplicated tickets. We are looking into this matter,' source shared

MULTAN: Dozens of fans, holding match tickets, were seen protesting outside stadium during third ODI between Pakistan and West Indies here on Sunday.

According to the details, authorities closed stadium gates after a houseful following the first innings of the match. However, several fans claimed that they were denied entry to the stadium despite having tickets.

"We have tickets but they are not allowing us to enter the stadium. How can stadium be filled when a lot of ticket holders are here outside," a fan told Geo Super.

After the situation got out of control, Police launched baton charge at fans.

A source told Geo Super that a lot of fans among protestors showed fake or duplicated tickets. "We found a lot of fake and duplicated tickets. We are looking into this matter," the source shared.

It must be noted here that Multan Cricket Stadium hosted houseful throughout three-match ODI series, took place in the City of Saints after 14 years.
