LONDON: Former star Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram said he has no answer to why his services haven't been taken by the PCB.

"You should go and ask PCB, why my services are not taken. Anyways, I help them whenever needed," Akram told media here at a local event.

"Having played cricket for a long time and being a Pakistani, I am ready to serve my country anytime," he added.

In another question, Akram was asked about the reason of Pakistan cricket's downfall. In response, the legendary cricketer suggested journalist to watch cricket first as he believes national team is doing good.

"Are you living on moon," Akram bantered. "Pakistan team is doing good, which downfall you are talking about? They have just chased 300+ against West Indies, won their last series against Australia," he maintained.

It must be noted here that Pakistan chased down 306 runs against West Indies in first ODI here at Multan Cricket Stadium thanks to Khushdil Shah's late-innings heroics.
