KARACHI: Pakistan's pace ace Mohammad Hasnain joined Oval Invincibles for The Hundred 2022 after he cleared his bowling action test on Thursday.
Hasnain's bowling action, which was found to be illegal in January, was declared legal by Cricket Australia's independent experts today after the fast bowler underwent remodelling and reassessment process at an ICC accredited center in Lahore.
After just a few hours, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced Hasnain is allowed to resume bowling, the 20-year-old was roped in by Oval Invincibles in the Overseas Wild Card draft for The Hundred 2022.
"I'm overjoyed. The Hundred looked like great fun last year and I can't wait to get involved. The opportunity to play alongside stars like Sunil Narine, Jason Roy and the Curran brothers [Sam and Tom] is hugely exciting," Hasnain said, according to BBC Sports.
Apart from Hasnain, Naseem Shah and Wahab Riaz were drafted in the main draft by Welsh Fire and Northern Superchargers.
The men's tournament gets underway on August 3 with a matchup between defending champions Southern Brave and Welsh Fire.
