SAN FRANCISCO: Stephen Curry scored 29 points as he led the Golden State Warriors to defeat the Boston Celtics 107-88 in game two of the NBA Finals.

The six-time NBA champions tie the best-of-seven series at 1-1 with a win.

The Warriors controlled the second half in San Francisco, with Curry hitting five three-pointers, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out four assists.

The Celtics continued where they left off in game one, jumping out to an early nine-point lead, but 11 first-half turnovers allowed the Warriors to claw their way back into the game and grab a two-point lead at halftime.

The Celtics proceeded to crumble in the second half, committing 19 turnovers that led to 33 points for the Warriors.

The third game will be played in Boston on Wednesday. In past NBA Finals where the series was tied at 1-1, the team that won game three 82.1 percent of the time went on to win the championship.

Following recent shootings in the United States, players and coaches from both sides wore t-shirts with the words 'End Gun Violence' on the front before Sunday's game.
